Hobby Lobby at SEFF - The Southeast Electric Flight Festival
Hobby Lobby attended the Southeast Electric Flight Festival in Georgia. This is one of the largest electric flying events in the country. We are a primary sponsor and we setup our tent right at show center. We really enjoyed the opportunity to showcase our latest and greatest products to our raving fans. We always enjoy the opportunity to talk to our customers face to face and see their excitement when flying our products. There were so many great stories to be told and we were able to capture a lot of them on camera. Check out the Hobby Lobby Facebook Page or Hobby Lobby's YouTube Channel to see all the videos from the show. As you know, our mission at HL is to share the fun of RC. One way we could do that was by donating a jet to a wounded warrior. Todd Landen, an army MSG, was wounded while serving our country. Over the past 3 years, he's been through 16 surgeries with more to come. This show was one of the first times he's been able to get out. He's an R/C pilot and we were able to say thanks for his service and share the fun by giving him a jet to enjoy. It's therapy for him. I was honored to present it to him during the awards ceremony at the end of the show. Honoring MSG Todd Landen at SEFF 2012 Video |

The Hobby Lobby crew went to the Weak Signals show and found some new products, met some old friends and made some new ones, and enjoyed all the hospitality that Toledo had to offer. Kudos to the Weak Signals RC Club for putting on another excellent show. |

BRAND NEW - B-17 "Nine-O-Nine"
This model is highly pre-fabricated, it only requires a few hours of assembly and you are ready to fly. Photo illustrated instructions guide you through each step and complete information on control throws and center of gravity are provided. The airplane includes 4-1350Kv brushless motors, 4-30A ESC's with finned heatsinks, counter rotating propellers, electronic servoless retracts and split flaps. The airplane has much more than scale power and can be flown around in an extremely non-scale fashion. With some throttle management the airplane can be flown in a scale manner and with 2-2200 11.1V batteries (not included) flight times can easily exceed 10 minutes. The split flaps are very effective and really slow the model down for beautiful landings. The wheels are large enough and the suspension robust enough for easy grass field flying. We highly recommend the use of an external BEC like the ERCBEC6 with this aircraft rather than using the BEC circuits of the 30A ESC's. |
