Nickel Metal Hydride cells have about 1/2 again more capacity than the same size and weight of Nicad cells. We have tested these at 30 Amps for ten seconds. They are best when discharged at SPEED 400 rates - about 10 Amps. They get much hotter than nicads during charge and discharge. Expect this. But they can stand higher temperatures than nicads. Charge at about 2 Amps. Watch for false peak shutoffs, then re-start. 18 ga. wire fits SPEED 400 Connectors.
