2-1/4" Kavan SuperLight Treaded Airwheels

2-1/4" (56 mm) tire, 13/16" (21 mm) wide, 13/16" (20 mm) hub, weigh .50 oz. (14 g) each. SuperLight Standard AirWheels have a gray-colored plastic hub with cross section treaded tire. Very popular for Electric powered aircraft but were originally designed for Glow powered planes. Kavan AirWheels have the weight of foam wheels but the strength of conventional plastic/rubber air wheels.

The unique manufacturing process creates tires with a constant wall thickness. This makes for a balanced tire without lumps and uneven treads, giving superior directional stability. Even though they are light these are very durable and will support heavy model airplanes. Made by Kavan in Germany. These have very scale-like tread designs. Use on paved or grass runways. 4mm hub can be drilled out for slightly larger axles.
