Atlas motor controllers will work with all types of brushless motors. Atlas controllers come pre-programmed and are ready to use when you receive them. Additional controller adjustments are available; most can be accessed and adjusted with your transmitter, but for easier programming, use the included program card to set all your options. This only takes a few seconds. Settings can easily be changed at the flying field without the need for additional instructions or a computer.
Atlas Black Opto Controllers
When you need more than 3 Lithium cells in your flight pack it is necessary to use an "Opto" controller. Opto controllers do not have a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) to power your radio receiver and servos. An alternate power supply is necessary. Use either a standard 4.8V receiver battery pack or a UBEC (KFS001 - KFS003). A UBEC is a device that reduces the high voltage of your flight batteries and supplies regulated power suitable to run your receiver and servos.

Spare Programming Card, 8 - 75 Amp
|
1-1/4" x 1-7/8" x 1/16" card with jumper connectors programs the 8A to 75A Atlas controllers. Pick the program options that you want by moving the jumpers to the appropriate pins on the card, plug your Atlas controller into the Program Card, switch on the controller for a few seconds and your settings have been programmed; a "Beep" tone verifies the process. A 4.8V receiver battery is required to program the Opto controllers. Changes take only seconds to perform; no other support equipment or computer is required.
With the Programming card you can select:
