Use to cut balsa sticks from sheet Balsa Wood . . . Save up to 90% on balsa sticks! |
Use to cut balsa sticks from sheet Balsa Wood... Save up to 90% on balsa sticks! Example: You can cut 10, 3/8" square sticks from a 4" wide sheet of our Bulk Sheet Wood. These sticks would cost you $6.00 if you bought them ready cut. Your cost for these 10 sticks if you cut them yourself is only $2.50! Our balsa stripper will accurately and easily cut balsa sticks 36" or 48" long, and up to 1/2" thick and 5/8" wide. It includes a 36" long extruded aluminum guide channel. This guide channel assures straight cuts even if the edge of the sheet wood is irregular. Another advantage of cutting your own balsa sticks is that you can match hardness and grain by using adjoining pieces from a sheet.
I bought one of these years ago and it still works just fine. Cuts balsa pretty easily. As with any wood stripper very hard balsa is much more difficult to cut and you may need a few passes down the sheet to get the blade all the way through.

I purchased this identical stripper years ago from hobby lobby. It has always served me well. Only surprised someone else had not posted a review already. Conceivably the best stripper on the market in my opinion.
Allow that I have not tried them all though. Common sense clearly indicates it is superior to many if not all.
Also one of my better tool purchases for hobby useage. It just keeps saving it's original cost over and over again. It just works very well and produces good results as advertised. I just recommended it on rcgroups vintage thread as a good unit. There basically was no learning curve either. Like most simple things it works and works well.
