I have never flown RC planes before in my life. I bought this with no expectations at all, and I have been pleasently surprised.
First of all the box contains a great DVD that has some good tips in it. All of the parts were very easy to assemble and hobby-lobby.com contains a great set of replacement parts at a good price to get you up and running again should you damage a part.
Although I can't imagine ever needing to, I have crashed this thing on it's nose, done wing cartwheels, crashed into a few trees and this thing just keeps on goin, there is basically no damage!!
The only reason I crash this thing is because I fly it in high wind, or do something stupid like bank right when I meant to go left, or fly it in tight conditions with lots of obstacles.
AS a beginner I can easily get this thing to cruise at 50-100 feet, and basically turn off the motor and glide my way around forever. It's a super fun beginner plane and I am totally hooked, durable, easy to fly, Anti-crash really works, and a word there.
The Anti crash really does help "smooth" your turns and dives. All I can say is when I turn off anti-crash (which is really easy btw, just a joystick click), it feels more squirelly and lets me dive harder. I have really appreciated the ACT when I lose the plane in the sun or whatever, or it's too far away, it auto-levels the plane, and helps with crashes, I still crash, but I'd imagine without anti-crash my plane would have been toast by now.

Got the first in the mail and it was dammaged in shipping. Took it out of the box to look and see if anything else besides the wing and tail had got a beating and found the throttle had no response. Hobby Lobby sent me a new plane and the same thing was defective! The only way to get the throttle to work was to hold the stick in the bottom left corner for a second before controlling the throttle. Then after flying it about ten feet out the throttle would stop responding and just die. Battery was full charge on both plane and remote. Two defective planes in a row indicates a manufactorer who doesnt care about the quality of the product they sell. Now I have to send another plane back.

This plane flys great. Its great beginner and the is asome it survises crashes well. The battery dosent last long though.

The Mini Super Cub is absolutely fantastic and perfect for any first-time flyer. It has anti-crash technology to help prevent any crashes. But even when you turn the anti-crash technology off, the aircraft will withstand any clumsy "accidents" I sometimes make. I got this plane 3 days ago and I've crashed it over 10 times and it still flies as if I just got it out of the box. The battery sometimes takes over an hour to charge, and some parts fall off, but they can be easily repaired with tape. I would recommend this to any beginner flyer!
