Program your SPIN controller, also a powerful testing tool |
For complete control in setup of your Jeti SPIN Brushless Controller, and to view recorded flight data, you need a "SPIN BOX", which is a self contained unit with digital readout that allows you to fine tune the controller setup for your aircraft. No computer is used. All input and data retrieval is immediate and can be read directly from the "SPIN BOX". Measures 3-5/16" x 2-7/8" x 5/8", weighs 2-1/2 oz. When connected to a Jeti SPIN controller: Allows you to custom program your SPIN controller. Provides a readout screen for the data that is stored in the SPIN controller after a flight. Simple and intuitive to use, you will not need to drag a huge set of instructions or a computer to the flying field with you. Jeti SPIN Box when not connected to a Jeti SPIN Controller When used by itself, the Spin Box is a powerful testing tool: Measure receiver channel output pulse widths. Measure servo transfer speeds, either unloaded or in actual use in the aircraft. Servo pulse generator, center your servos without receiver and transmitter. Servo-cycler, check the function of your servos, from 10 to 990 cycles. Setting up your SPIN Controller using the SPIN Box: Simple controller setup: Select the type of aircraft from the menu on the "SPIN BOX", and timing, brake, etc., will be set automatically. Advanced controller setup: gives complete setup freedom: Timing: 0 to 30 degrees in 1 degree steps for any brushless motor type. Acceleration: for how quickly the motor reaches full power. Braking: can be set Off or On with selection of hardness. Helicopter constant RPM: can be set for minimum and maximum rotor head RPM and how quickly the controller reacts to changes in RPM under load. Battery type: and number of cells can be picked as well as the per cell cutoff voltage. Choose either Hard or Soft slow down at cutoff voltage. Motor rotation: can be reversed from the controller. which is great for motor systems where access to the motor/speed controller is difficult. Data logging: No need to bench test ever again! After a flight, just plug the SPIN Controller into the SPIN Box and read out the in-flight data: Maximum and Minimum temperature of controller during operation and the time it occurred. Maximum and Minimum current at full throttle, the time this occurred and the voltage of the flight batteries at that time. A huge help in selecting the ideal propeller for your airplane. Cut-off voltage and the time that this occurred. Motor run time measured from the first revolution. Maximum Motor RPM is recorded and the time it occurred. Errors where control parameters have been exceeded are recorded; this is a big help in determining the causes of motor cut-offs.
I love this!! This makes programming my Spin 44 ESC a breeze. Don't overlook that it is also a servo driver and tester. You wonder how you ever got along before, once you use this to set up servos in a new aircraft. My new Telemaster Electro ARF has 6 servos with the flap option. I could accurately center each servo before mounting. Once mounted , I could drive a servo without using the TX to check throws and adjust links. You don't have to worry about jamming up linkage the first time a TX is switched on, because of an off-center servo arm. I highly recommend this valuable tool.

JETI MOTOR CONTROLLER WARRANTY AND REPAIR POLICY
Hobby Lobby has a 2-Year warranty period form date of purchase for JETI Motor Controllers.
Note: Hobby Lobby is the USA agent for JETI. All Hobby-Lobby/JETI Motor Controllers have Hobby Lobby's name printed on the back of the controller under the plastic shrink wrap. Hobby Lobby will not take responsibility for JETI Motor Controllers which do not contain the Hobby Lobby imprint.
If purchased from Hobby-Lobby:
Within warranty period:

This failure is not covered under Hobby-Lobby's warranty, but will be handled as an after warranty period replacement.
After the warranty period:
If your JETI Motor Controller quits working, Hobby Lobby will replace it at a cost of 1/2 the current retail price of the unit upon it being returned to us.

If it is within warranty period and fails, other than the failure caused by connecting the batteries in reverse, the hobby shop should give you a new JETI Controller at no charge.
If it is out of the warranty period or you did something to cause it to fail, your hobby shop should sell you another one at half price.
Attention Hobby Shop Owner:
Hobby Lobby will replace any Hobby Lobby/JETI motor controller you send back to us that you have taken back from and replaced for your customer. If the failure was within the warranty period, Hobby Lobby will replace the controller at no charge. If the failure was caused by customer error (connecting the batteries in reverse), or it is out of the warranty period, Hobby-Lobby will replace it at half price.
