Beginner-friendly RC Heli with Spektrum technology |
Are you one of those guys who always thought it would be cool to fly an R/C heli, but just assumed it would be either too difficult or expensive to get into? If that describes you, then you need to know that the times have changed and there is now a perfect product to get started with - the Blade CX2! 13.6" rotor diameter, 16.4" long, 8 oz. flying weight. The Blade CX2 comes out of the box RTF (Ready-to-Fly) so the only waiting you'll have to do once it arrives is for the battery to charge. Once you get in the air you'll find that the combination of the co-axial blades and the updated 3-in-1 control unit (main motor mixer, speed controls, gyro) give it stability that's unmatched by other RC helicopters on the market in the same size and class. The CX2 also comes with a 2.4GHz DSM radio system that allows you to fly anywhere without fear of interference or sudden loss of control. Blade CX2 Ready-To-Fly Features: - Everything needed to fly is included
- Now includes aluminum head/hub, over-current protection, 3-in-1 control unit, and Spektrum AR6100e receiver
- Flight ready - no assembly required
- Test flown at the factory to ensure proper setup out of the box
- Interference-free, 5-channel E-Flite transmitter with built-in Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM technology
- Coaxial, counter-rotating rotor blades that make hovering easy
- Two feather-light S60 Super Sub-Micro servos - just 6 grams each
- 2 Cell 7.4V 800 mAh LiPo battery pack with Charge Protection Circuitry
- 2 to 3 cell DC LiPo battery balancing charger and AC adapter
The CX2 is also amazingly durable for a heli its size, but even after you do have that inevitable first run-in with a wall or ceiling, you'll quickly find that parts are inexpensive and readily available - plus it doesn't take a technology guru to fix. On top of all that, the CX2 is big enough to fly outside in light winds and easily flies indoors in spaces like a large garage or small gymnasium - so, the size makes it a very versatile product. Technical Specifications: | Length: | 16.4" | | Flying Weight: | 8 oz. | | Rotor Diameter: | 13.6" |

This is a nice easy to fly helicopter. Not perfect, I have broken a few things already with faster than anticipated landings. But with super glue and scotch tape, you can hardly tell! The only real complaint I would have is that the battery is a little difficult to install. Soon as I get better at this, and after I pay off my Christmas bills, I'm going to get a better one.

This is a great helicopter! It's my first one but from my experience so far I can tell that it's a good helicopter. It hovers very easily, maneuvers very smoothly, and is easy to fly indoors; even for a beginner. The only drawback about this copter is that the battery doesn't last too long as far as flight time. I haven't measured the exact amount of time that I get in flight but if you have multiple batteries its not an issue. Overall great heli for beginners or anyone else who just enjoys a relaxing flight.
