Tiny, slow and lots of fun - Ember 2 weighs less than 1 ounce!
16.5" wingspan, 13-1/4" long, 0.7 oz. (20 grams!) flying weight. Ready to fly with everything included: 2.4 GHz radio technology, motor/gearbox/prop, 3.7V 70 mAh LiPo battery with charger, fully proportional servo motors, and AA batteries. Throttle, rudder and elevator provide true 3-channel flight and maneuverability.
Ember 2's remarkably compact design and slow-flying capabilities are perfect for indoor flying (or outdoors on a calm day). Install the AA batteries in the charger, charge the flight battery (takes approximately 20 minutes) and go fly. Flight times are 10 - 15 minutes. Ember 2 is also available in a
Bind-N-Fly version
.

I bought this airplane for my wife to learn on but she gets so nervous she hands the TX back to me to get her out of trouble, like trees don't eat airplanes when I'm flying! HA!
I learned to fly airplanes on the MIcro Stik which has twice the power of the Ember 2 but its' lack of speed is what makes the Ember 2 such a good airplane to learn on for those who are sky shy.
I like to fly it after the sun has set (but it's not totally dark yet) because of the red LED on the RX. You can see that LED real good in low light and as long as you remember your last control input, you won't get into trouble. It has a long glide rate too when powered down. I set my timer for 10 minutes and that little 70 mah battery that comes with it flies the whole time while still maintaining a good power reserve at the end of the flight.
I've also put a 120 mah battery on the Ember 2 but you can tell it's carrying more weight since the battery is a couple of grams heavier. With the 120 mah battery you need to fly a little faster to compensate for the extra weight.
Sunrise and sunset are the lowest wind times (usually) and the best times to fly this light little airplane outdoors.

A lot of fun, real blast. Handles more wind than the Vapor (night vapor). Tougher than vapor when colliding with walls, back stops, furniture, trees and shrubs, or the ground.
Maintain with Foam safe CA easier than Vapor(s).
A good teacher.
Be patient, poor with much wind.

Got this after I got my microstic from Hobby Lobby and it was a bit anti-climatic but still fun. I really have had no problem flying it outside which is great because I have nowhere to fly inside. It is easy to grab and go. Great for my son to learn on too. It really crashes well with no damage and if you cut the power it just glides to a landing on its own. Really fun but the Microstic is way more fun and powerful. I think it is slower than my night vapor but at my skill level I am just learning.

The Ember 2 is very much like the Vapor. Both are small, maneuverable airplanes. The Ember 2 is basically a step up from the Vapor. The Ember has solid foam wings, elevator, and rudder. This adds a touch more weight than that of the vapor. The Ember 2 has excellent speed for its size (more than double the vapor), it can be flown fast or slow. More experienced pilots can move the throw controls closer to the tail surface to increase their control authority. Once you are comfortable flying you may try to achieve sustained inverted flight (it takes time but is very do-able). The Vapor can produce loops with no additional speed, but with the Ember you need to point the nose down and dive a few feet to get adequate momentum to loop. This would be a solid 5 with the exception of the Ember 2 takes a much greater time to ascend to altitude. The Vapor has a much greater climb out. If your looking for a quick thrill the Ember 2 is a must have. Flights were between 60-70 degrees at an altitude of 2,956ft. 4 Stars.
