I purchased the RTF Switch over a year ago and I couldn't be happier. The Tactic Tx, Rx and servos are well matched to this plane and have been very reliable. The .10 SuperTigre motor, 10x5 prop, 30 amp ESC and 3s 1800 lipo that came with the plane have also worked very well. I found a local instructor who helped me learn the fundamentals in the high wing configuration and then we progressed to the mid-wing to learn more advanced maneuvers. After spending untold hours flying the Switch, I have learned to fly more complex and larger scale planes. But, the Switch will always have a place in my hanger.

The only "con" that presented itself over time was the weak aluminum main landing gear. I installed the main gear from a Flyzone Sensei ($9) and it has worked flawlessly.

If you are looking for a plane that will take you from beginner to intermediate flying with a smile on your face, you will not regret this purchase. Buy at least three batteries to make fun last longer!!!

An 5 star plane for sure. So many nice features for the new pilot and sport pilot. The landing gear is nice and high and positioned well forward to prevent nose-overs when maneuvering on a grass field. This simple design element makes a big difference. The Switch caters to new pilots and the mistakes they make.....not sure of the material used but it is light and very strong.

Plenty of power for the sport pilot and capable of all sport-class aerobatics....could easily fly the sportsman pattern. Even though I am an experienced pilot, I found myself flying with the wing in the high position most of the times. Shooting touch and go's is a lot of fun and a great skill builder with this plane.

It uses a common 3s/2200 sized battery and produces 8-10 minute flights a varying speeds. It is a common sized battery available a reasonable prices.

The only negative thing I could say about the plane is the price. At first, $279 seems like a lot of cash to pass out for a plane. But when you look a little deeper at what you are getting and what the plane is capable of, the price isn’t such a big issue.

You cant go wrong either starting out with this 4 channel plane and an experienced pilot will consider this a favorite just like I do. Best of luck.
