Very high quality gearboxes with a super ballbearing. If you have had trouble with other 280 gearboxes, these may solve your problems. The prop shaft is 3mm diameter. See adapters for these gearboxes.

High Ratio Gearbox for SPEED 300

High ratio gearbox for
3 and 4 bladed props

Very high ratio gearbox allows the use of large props with Speed 300 motor. Ideal for the 3 and 4 bladed props from Flying Styro (FS300, FS400). Gearbox mounts through the firewall and is glued in place. Comes with 3mm prop shaft adapter, aluminum sleeve adapter for Flying Styro props, and glue for attaching the pinion to your motor.

Very high quality gearboxes with a super ball bearing. The prop shaft is 3mm diameter. See adapters for these gearboxes.

The prop adapters are collet type for perfect centering on 3mm shaft. They include a prop nut but the fancy rounded prop nut is offered for scale and safety reasons.

Spinner for MP Jet Gearbox

2" diameter, 2" long. Has no exposed screws. Fits on MJ8030 or MJ8031 prop shaft adapter. Is cut to fit 2 bladed APC props.

"Front Adapters" allow you to mount MJ gearboxes
for SPEED 280 or SPEED 400 directly to the nose of an airplane

Gearbox adapter

These screw to the front of MJ gearboxes to allow you to attach the gearbox directly to the nose of the airplane instead of having to mount the gearbox to the aft-located firewall.

The screw spacing for the Front Adapters is the same as the spacing of screws on the 280 or 400 motors.

A way to mount MJ Gearboxes to a flat plate

Gearbox mount

Plastic "strap" sets that are slightly larger diameter at the gearbox end and slightly smaller at the motor-only end so that they accurately mount MJ Gearbox with motor in place to a flat, cutout wood plate.

4:1, 5:1, 6:1 JH Gearboxes for SPEED 280 Motors

The output shafts are 6mm diameter plastic (exceptions are noted). FS200 and FS300 propellers are press fits onto this shaft. Slowflyer Props P07040SF through P11070SF also will fit onto these JH gearboxes. Drill the prop hubs to 6mm diameter to fit. Props and also the small pinion gears can be secured with CA if they slip. 4:1 Ratio for SPEED 280

For 280 motor and Flying Styro 2 and 3 blade propellers. 1.30" high. Two front mounting holes are 1.3" apart. Bronze bushing!
