Grob G103C ARF w/Electronic Spoilers and Power System | |
109-3/8 in. wingspan, 49-3/8 in. long, 642 sq. in. wing area, 85 oz. flying weight. Over a 9' wingspan sailplane with white gelcoated fuselage, sheeted foam core wings and built up tail. Wings and tail are pre-covered with genuine Oracover for a great finish and years of extraordinary performance. The wings are pre-slotted for the included electronic spoilers and the ailerons are pre-hinged. Each wing slides onto the 10mm steel wing joiner and is easily removable for transport. The fuselage has generous amounts of carbon fiber reinforcement around the cockpit opening for long life.
The included power system will pull the sailplane to thermal altitude in short order then turn off the motor and go searching for lift. The Grob indicates lift well with a rise of a wingtip; the length of your flight can be as long as conditions and your skills allow. The sailplane has a flat glide and a broad speed range, the electronic spoilers make controlling the sink rate an easy task. They do not require any setup and are fully proportional, plug the two into a Y-connector and your flap channel or side slider and you have the control to make nice precision landings. This is a sailplane for intermediate to advanced builders and fliers, some previous experience with fiberglass fuselage aircraft is recommended.
Needed to complete: 2 thin wing servos for ailerons and 1 for elevator ( HTS125MG) and 1 mini servos for rudder ( HTS085MG).
