I used the straps to hold the1/8" steel rods of a 440Mhz UHF ham antenna I made. I remembered using them and Dubro products from my control line flying as a kid. I built those planes also. The first one was a 1/2A trainer, solid body and wing, built from a kit. The engine was a Cox. 049 Golden Bee and I can't remember who made the kit just that it was indestructable. When I went to attach the antenna elements I knew there had to be a cleaner looking way than just screws and washers or staples. The Dubro nylon landing gear straps added that little extra finishing touch to my little homebrew antenna and they hold the elements perfectly. Thanks to Hobby Lobby and Dubro.
