Litespan is a very light, strong, airtight, waterproof model covering material made of interwelded polyester fibers. The colors yellow, orange, red, and blue are only 28 to 30 grams per sq. Yard — under 1 oz. Per sq. Yard. The remaining colors are more opaque and are 32 to 35 grams per sq. Meter — about 1 oz. Per sq. Yard. Litespan has no adhesive so Balsaloc must be applied to the airplane structure before ironing on the Litespan. From then on Litespan is shrunk in place like the plastic film materials.
