This is a great airplane to build and fly with a few modifications. The first area that I had problems with was the wing joint. On my first flight the wing ripped in half at the joint. I ended up epoxying two pieces of plywood to the center wing joint. This fixed that problem. Here is a link to a build log that I did to show the modification.

I also had issues with the magnetic wing. It came off during flight so I ended up using the holes for lining up the fuselage pieces for rubber band dowels. The magnets are still useful to help line up the wing while putting on the rubber bands.
I have flown this aircraft several times after modifications and it flies very well. It is very easy to take-off and land and it is pretty durable in crashes, and very easy to fix if it breaks. It can be flown slow easily without stalling, and if it does stall it is easy to recover. I gave this plane three stars because it takes some modifications to make it a good airplane.

After flying some RTF 3-channel throttle-rudder-elevator parkzone ultra micros I purchased this kit as my first "build". The quality of the kit seems very good. The parts all fit together quite well and the design allows for easy assembly. The build-up of the empennage, fuselage, and wing is pretty straightforward and the instructions are clear. There is even a check-box for each step. Just take your time, be precise, and be thorough. You're not going to have this plane ready to fly in a day, or probably even a week, so just relax and get every step done the best you possibly can. I used Titebond for all the longerons, fuse formers, fin, and main wing spar, and CA for all the wing ribs and elevator ribs. I epoxied the stabilizer to the fuse, fin to the stab, and tail skid to the fuse. I used thick CA and kicker for the pants on the landing gear wire.

I gave this kit 4 stars instead of 5 because as a beginner I was let down by what wasn't in the instructions and by the Hobby Lobby Intl website. Let me say what IS in the instructions is fantastic. The problem is once the balsa is glued, you're on your own. There is nothing about installing the servos and pushrods or the motor, ESC, etc. They include the pushrods and hardware for attaching to the horns and servo arms, but absolutely no instructions as to how it all goes together. I see now that it's all pretty simple, but without a club member's assistance I'd still be scratching my head.

As to the Hobby Lobby website, on the page for the Micro Telemaster V2 there is a tab for "Everything You Need" that lists the motor, prop, ESC, servos, and battery. Even though I probably could have found better deals elsewhere on compatible "no name" stuff, I decided to buy everything on the list to keep it simple and beginner-friendly. When "everything I needed" arrived, there was quite the mis-match in connectors. The motor and ESC had different size bullet connectors and the ESC had a deans connector but the battery did not. Now I understand that to an experienced builder soldering on the proper connectors is no big deal, but as a newbie I was not expecting this. If they want to make it beginner friendly they should have suggested plug-n-play gear with compatible connectors. Or else the tab should read "Almost Everything You Need".

Fortunately the plane is a great little flyer. Like any small plane it likes a calm day. but is manageable in light winds. It will cruise around on less than 1/2 throttle or fly straight up on full throttle with the recommended 250 motor. I fly it on a basic radio with no mixing or exponential and it's just an absolute joy to fly. This seems like a great plane to really master 3-channel flight before moving up to a 4-channel aileron trainer.

All in all, I had a lot of fun building this plane and I'm having even more fun flying it. Hobby Lobby International just needs to iron out some details to make this a truly beginner friendly package.

I purchase two of the Tele Micros, one for me and one for my grandson age 13. I will be assisting him in the buildout of this model as soon as I finish mine. The kit is very easy to build providing the instructions are followed and patience is exercised in the construction. However there are a few areas that I think need improvement; 1) the kit should include instructions on how to install and hook up the recommended electronic accessories (for us beginners.), 2) the servo wire is too flimsy (I threaded a 1/8" sq balsa strip about 12" long & glued it to the wires to minimize bending, 3) the leading edge of the stabilizer should be beefed up to at least 1/8" X 3/16", and 4) what are the 'registration holes' located at the top of the fusalage wing mount? A response from the designer would be appreciated.

this kit is everything they say about it. excellent balsa grade parts and hardware, fast assemble,accurate alignment of all parts on the wing and fuselage.some minor sanding and shapeing of the leading edge and hinge areas requires very delicate handleling, just take your time and don't rush it. for its size and weight it is a very strong airframe when finished. from start to finish it is a very straight and forward build for anyone that has had at least some minor airplane building experience. if you have never built a kit of this type just get some help from someone that has and you will be very happy with this kit. if your a beginner just read,read and read again before you glue, again take your time and do not rush it. assembly instructions needs a little more detail / explanation on some parts of the build for beginners.
