 | Jason Says: | | "The Rebel 70 is nothing but fun. It flies like a sport jet should using batteries everyone has laying around. If you don't have one laying around then the PowerWing 4S 2100mAH (YTB21004) is only $28! I like to fly mine with the landing gear off, as hand launching is a piece of cake. The speed is great and the roll rate is insane on high rates. It's one of those planes you can really horse around with, yet slows down incredibly well for landings. If you've flown an aileron plane before, you can fly the Rebel. Give it shot, I guarantee you'll have a blast." |

Performance you want, at a price you want |
The Rebel 70 was conceived with the sport pilot in mind. You asked for quality and performance, and a great price. eRC is here for you with a great looking jet that is both fun and exhilarating to fly. The Rebel 70 is built from tough EPO foam and comes with the decals pre-applied so you can get right to the assembly. Have your battery charged when you open the box because it will only take 30 minutes or less to get your Rebel ready to fly. Only two parts require glue, everything else is assembled with screws. It comes with five 9g servos installed, a 70mm fan with a 3000Kv outrunner motor, and a 45A ESC.
All you need to provide is a 4-cell 2200mAH LiPo and at a minimum a 4-channel radio system. The battery area can accommodate up to a 3300mAH battery with the removal of a plastic tab in the tray. The fixed tricycle landing gear includes nose wheel steering and can be removed to reduce drag for maximum speed. Flights can be mild or wild depending on your control settings. Rolls are crisp and stop right on command. The large rudder enables super slow rolls, point rolls, and knife-edge flight.

I was looking for a fun way to try an EDF and picked one of these up at SEFF. This aircraft has exceeded my expectations and has been an excellent introduction to flying EDF models. It has confidence inspiring flight characteristics, including outstanding slow speed performance, but can really haul when pushed. Its easy to see in a the air, too. On top of all that, this airframe is incredibly durable. This is my first hand launcher and I've thrown I at into the ground more than once. The airframe shows no signs of damage. It's certainly more than able to handle the occasional rough belly landing.
Go for the 3300 mah battery options as without it you may need some weight on the nose to balance it.
I love my Rebel :)
