Its a nice BIG jet, which helps with older eyeballs. I left the wheels off and used a 4S 3300Mah pack. It balanced perfect. It is, however, difficult to throw. You must grab the fairly fat fuselage near the tail cone. Your wrist is bent all the way back just to get the nose level, it is nearly impossible to throw the plane very hard. Hand launches require some wind, at least 8 to 10mph. Once in the air, the plane feels large and stable. The plane is so stable that there is little sensation of speed. I was a little disappointed. Although friends watching said it looked fast to them. I estimate downwind passes around 70 to 80 after a diving approach with level flight typically closer to 60. At least that was my impression of the speeds. Knife edges were actually pretty difficult. IT either pulled or tucked some, I forget which, and there was a strong adverse roll coupling. It takes a little practice to compensate for all of that, but after 3 or 4 tries you will get it. The airplane can handle windy , even gusty conditions very well. I wouldn't hesitate to fly it winds of 15 to 20. In fact I prefer higher winds for the launch. Landings are very fun. It takes a long approach and it slides a long way on its belly, very entertaining. Because the wing has no dihedral, I ran my airleron pushrods out the top of the wing to avoid beating and banging the linkages on landings. I intend to modify the plane for bungee launches.

This is one of the best flying Foam Ducted Fan ARFs out there period, right out of the box, just add your own Receiver and do some assembly, and go fly. It will take longer than 3 hours if you really take your time to be sure ALL is done right. // When I took off all it needed was TWO clicks of up elevator and it was perfect from then on.
It will perform ANY aerobatic maneuver you want, even knife edge circles, and yes I can get it to do a almost stall turn with a little side slide added. !! - LOLs -- But it's just a smooth flying, great plane and design right side UP or INVERTED , makes no difference. I give this plane a four star because the finish on the decals were very air bubbly. and the screw on the back of the rudder did not line up at all, but after i flew it it was awesome that 70mm fan screams. It controls great as long as u have the cg right.(read in book) perfect tight loops and barrel rolls. Also i reccomend people flying this for the first time like me just belly land it it glides so slow and smooth.

I was looking for a fun way to try an EDF and picked one of these up at SEFF. This aircraft has exceeded my expectations and has been an excellent introduction to flying EDF models. It has confidence inspiring flight characteristics, including outstanding slow speed performance, but can really haul when pushed. Its easy to see in a the air, too. On top of all that, this airframe is incredibly durable. This is my first hand launcher and I've thrown I at into the ground more than once. The airframe shows no signs of damage. It's certainly more than able to handle the occasional rough belly landing.

Go for the 3300 mah battery options as without it you may need some weight on the nose to balance it.
