Small RC-Uhu Glider
The RC-UHU is the logical development of the famous free-flight model, of which over 10,000 have been sold. The new model is supplied in the form of a classic GRAUPNER quick-build kit, which is "Made in Germany". This model offers any young person with a keen interest in sport aviation the chance to learn the art of modelling - virtually from first principles. It is designed to be built with the support and advice of teaching assistants in schools or as a group-work project within model clubs. A particularly economical 5-pack of the model is available especially for this purpose.
The aeroplane is assembled on a building board which is also supplied in the pack. The model's components are very accurately pre-cut using the latest laser technology, and require virtually no trimming prior to being fitted together. The wing is assembled from a small number of profile-machined balsa components in conjunction with ready-made parts molded in high-quality plastic. Relatively little effort is required, and the result is an extremely attractive model aircraft with a high wing aspect ratio and a T-tail design - features which are normally the preserve of much larger RC models. This elegant aircraft is a delight to fly at the slope, and at flat field sites it offers a fine performance when fitted with the optional electric motor pylon.
