I was pleased with the overall quality of the model. First several flights were uneventful, but as I flew the plane around more and started slowing it down, it displays some ugly stall characteristics, especially in a turn. Not a big deal as long as you don't get too slow when you bring it in to land.

To their credit, Hobby Lobby contacted me first thing Monday. They are shipping a new, replacement motor for the plane free of charge, so they definitely stand behind their products. I am anxious to install it and get back in the sky. Since this was my only issue with the plane, and it was handled quickly and efficiently by HL, I upped my rating of the Space Walker to a full 5 stars.

The build on this one is really easy and fun. The spinner and motor are premounted, leaving only wing and tail surfaces to assemble, along with the landing gear, First flight was this weekend, a bit windy, around 10mph winds, and the plane took off and flew well after some minor trimming on rudder and elevator. It was flying great, with smooth loops, tight rolls, and predictable handling in the winds. It does get bounced around some though, not as smooth as my Super Sportster, but looks good in the air. All was good until about 3 minutes into the flight when the motor stopped. I thought maybe the battery hadn't had a full charge even though I charged it before flying. There was too much wind and not enough altitude to turn it back around into the wind, so I had to land with the wind. It came a bit hot, and the longer grass in that part of the field knocked the landing gear plate out of the bottom of the plane. An easy fix to epoxy back in, but on checking the plane, it had a hot electrical smell and motor was not turning smoothly. On dis-assembly at home, I found the main wires had burned through right at the motor, causing it to fail. It is Sunday, so I haven't been able to contact Hobby Lobby about a replacement, but will let you know what happens. Otherwise, I am pleased with the plane and flight. I think this was probably just a bad motor in my case.
