It had been years since my last rc flight and I was able to get right back to speed again with comfort. Flies very well and fun for take off and landings. Adding the optional floats makes for a whole new and exciting experience. It will fly pretty good inverted (have not tried with floats on). I modified landing gear and added 3 inch super lite wheels and it does great on grass and gravel. It also made for higher ground clearance to add the larger 10x8 prop greatly decreasing takeoff roll and increasing climb rate.

The Super Cub is an excellent beginners aircraft in my opinion. I now use it to train beginner pilots on how to fly and do not use a buddy box to do it. In the hands of a beginner with some simulator training using elevator and rudder only takes very little time to get them airborn and flying this gem. The ACT system works as advertised you just need to make sure its turned on and you are at least 100ft in the air, then it works great. The DX4e transmitter is very good as well and makes a great transmitter for the next DSM2 receiver and plane as long as you stay within the 4 channel capabilities.

Although the wing struts are a little hokie, they are there to keep the wing from foldin up when doing loops and dives, so leave them on the wings. One could take some carbon rod and put it in the bottom of the wings so that the struts could be left off, but I don't recommend flying without them otherwise.

For the price its a very good bargin and a GREAT Trainer
