This plane is really fun to fly. Not as forgiving as the Trojan, but increased maneuverability is the tradeoff. The trick is getting the CG just right; until you do, it will be real squirrely, but once you perfect it, it will reward you with level flying and great fun. Adjust to the 35mm spec with the battery and you should be good. Easy to get 7 minutes of flight time + landing time if you fly with the 150mAh battery at 70% throttle, as on all the ultra micros. Shouldn't be your first aileron ship, but if you've got some aileron time on something more docile, you can conquer this. Don't believe those who dis this as too difficult to fly; they likely never got their CG correct, which fixes many problems on many planes. Great deal at this price, don't pass this one up!

PROS:What can I say? Beautiful flyer. The engine appears to be much more powerful than the other Ultra-Micros because it can go so fast and do so much. For a small foamie, it can do all sorts of stunts and things. Often times in winds less than 5 mph, you can fly it gracefully at 1/4 throttle and have a 15-20 minute flight easily. I loved it so much I bought a second one after my first became un-flyable.

CONS: However... the landing gear comes off REALLY EASILY. After 3 small crashes the left gear came off. The trim was off. I need to use pliers to fix a part of it. The wing gets bent up easily, and it doesn't look good after a few crashes. My engine came loose with my second plane, and I have had to take off part of the fuselage to fix it. After many crashes, I bought $20 in spare parts/decals to refurbish it. Many of these problems were from pilot error, however, so don't think that these cons are devastating, they are easily fixable.

USER RECOMMENDATIONS: Buy foam-safe super glue, take the gear off, and re-apply the gear with the super glue. Get spare nose cones if you are unhappy with the "worn-out" or sometimes "shredded" nose cones. Sometimes with minor cracks, use packaging tape and then use an x-Acto knife to trim it.

RECOMMENDED FOR PURCHASE? Definitely. This plane has served me as my first 4-Channel plane, and has continued to give me entertainment afterwards.

The p-51 Mustang is a very fun little plane. Some disadvantage of this plane is that sometimes the landing gear doesn't stay on properly when you bring it down. It does have a lot of power though and has very steady flights. It goes well on calm clear days. I hope you enjoy your plane!

I just finished flight number 205 with my Parkzone P51D and it's one heck of a micro foamie. I had to replace the motor after 96 flights but so far the motor that I used is still going strong. The motor that was used to replace the burnt out P51D's orginal motor was from a 4 Site bipe and it already had 39 flights on it giving me a total of 148 flights on this particular motor so far.

I have a micro T-28 that still has the original motor in it after 273 flights! The thing that wears out fastest is the brass motor pinion gear it seems. Just replace the geared motor shaft and keep on flying.

These are some fantastic airplanes!!!

First four channel, great beginner if you are pro and three channel. Durable and easy to repair if need be. Very well designed, the only thing i would change is add more batteries to the plane and an extra charger but that can be bought separately.

This is one little gem of an airplane. It arrives in a carrying case box and is held in place with foam to keep it from being mutilated during shipment. When you open the box the first thing you notice is how nicely done this little model is and how scale like in appearance. It doesn't have the wing mounted machine guns but the shape makes up for that. Once you charge the battery and bind it to your radio it then comes to life. The manual recommends that for the first flights you set the dual rates all to 70%, especially the ailerons and then go to 100% once you get the hang of the plane. This little plane is set up so well that with the included 120mah battery it flys straight out of the box with all the control surfaces at thier neutral position. Even though this is made for indoor flying it will and does handle light breezes outdoors very well and does all the manuvers you would expect from a 4 channel aircraft of a larger size. It is a pure pleasure to fly and has less of a tendancy to roll unless thats what you want it to do. The undercamber wing makes a lot of difference in flying and an advanced beginner that has flown a low wing airplane could transition most likley and fairly easily into this WWII fighter, Almost everyone has to have this wanted a P-51 and this one is really fun to fly.
It will be a must for those who want to fly smaller planes in a smaller areas and still have the fun of rolls, loops, upside down flight and being able to take off and land. This little gem gets 5 stars for innovation, flight performance and all around appeal. I hope ParkZone keeps comming up with these micro planes because they are great to take on vacation as well as luch time flying.
