Oh MAN! This little motor is fast, it is compatible with the Ultra Micro Champ too, I use it in mine. It take a punishing series of banks and turns, flips and curves and asks for you to give it more. It literally ran through two batteries and was only stopped by me treeing my plane. I wish I had steered better so i could have gotten it back in the air.
This motor is so super fast and it is evident immediately. I plugged it in, and the pull is terrific, really made me grin big from ear to ear. I pulled off and there it went. Tugs really hard and made some awesome training time fly by.
Loud is not the word, it roars like a monster. It makes a growling that makes me see red. Not a stealthy little motor at all. I would certainly demand that the motor make more noise, I like them loud.
For once I found a cool additional added bonus. This one really knows how to get some air.

The only difference between this motor and the ones that go in the F4U Corsair, Polecat, SU26x Sukhoi, Ultra Micro 4-Site etc is the length of the wire that goes to the plug in the RX. I need one of these motors for my 4-Site Bipe and can't find one. The 4-Site has the longest set of wires of all of the Ultra Micro series from Parkzone.

I have a new motor for my Sukhoi but the plug wires are too short for the 4-Site Bipe and I don't want to solder an old set of wires that I cut from one of my dead motors (I have a bunch of these wires from dead motors that I've accumulated over 4 years of flying these things).

These motors have lasted me from just 43 flights (a 4-Site Biplane with wing airbrakes installled) to one that lasted 332 flights that was in one of my 2 micro T-28's. It's just a crap shoot when you buy one of these motors. New, they have a tons of power but you can definately tell when it's time to replace one of them. They either lose power gradually or go belly up in one flight. I always set my timer and fly for 5 m inutes on all of my Parkzone micros.

The surprising thing about these motors is that the brass pinion gear on the motor wears out quicker than the nylon/plastic gear used on the prop shaft. Go figure!

Buy the specific motor for your specific airplane to make sure the motor wires are the correct length to reach the Receiver plug or you'll be scratching your head getting mad at yourself for trying to save a nickel somewhere on a good deal on a motor!

One more thing, always mark the RX plug before unplugging the motor wire so you can remember which side is for the white wire verses the black wire. There are 3 pin holes on the RX motor plug and one hole doesn't work. By marking the holes for the plug pins you'll never have to take your airplane apart again to replug the two pins on the motor plug because you thought you knew where they went. Yes, I'm telling on myself!!!

PS, if you want a good cheap battery for your ultra micro airplane, try a Turnigy 3.7v 160 mah 25 - 40 C battery (Goggle it). I have around 100 of these because I'd rather pay $1.39 for a good battery rather than $12.99 for an Eflite that only lasted me 14 recharges.

I paid $12.99 for the Eflite 150 mah battery when I bought my second T-28 from a Local Hobby Shop. Without the LHS's we'd have no place to go to BS one another but, there's a limit to how far I can to stretch my moo-lah so... LHS's... take notice and get your prices more in line with internet prices! You don't have to go nuts LHS's, just don't chase us online to buy things. That way you'll still have store to sell your wares from.
