This little bird is one full house military plane. It is not for the beginner. While it is very flyable, it is sensitive to any and all input. First flights should be outside in CALM air. It takes some room to get a handle on the flight characteristics. If you are using a computer type transmitter, use it to tone down the controls. I am not a great pilot but bring my planes home in one piece most of the time. Due to the lack of weight and the tough foam this T-28 is made of, my brag stands. My copy was not perfectly trimmed out of the box. What looked right and balanced per instructions resulted in an extreme climb-out right back over my head in a rolling loop. After a few corrections I finally got it under control and started enjoying the rightness of the thing. I now fly it in light breezes (2-4 mph) flirting with Swallows that enjoy flying with my electrics. I am looking forward to next March when I get to fly inside at the TINY event in San Angelo, Tx. Because I fly off grass here in Missouri, I haven't ROG'ed yet. I have flown with the wheels on to see how it did. That configuration calms The T-28 down a bit but it is still very responsive especially on the elevator. I would recommend this plane to most intermediate and expert fliers.

This one's a keeper. I'd give it a sixth star if I could. This airplane flewso good I bought another one after several hundred flights on the first one. Matter of fact, the first one's motor didn't need replacing until flight number 332. The second one is needing a new motor nowafter just 102 flights but that's about normal I'd guess since most of my other Parkzone micro motors lasted between 45 to 125 flights.

This micro T-28 is extremely stable in the air and can be flown fairly slowor fast if you want. I do all my flying outdoors and use either of the T-28's as sounding airplanes to see what the wind conditions are like above the power lines in my yard. If it's not too bad I pull out my Parkzone Sukhoi 26xp and the new Polecat and put them through their paces.

The rating is 4 stars due to factory settings. After unpacking, reading the manual (yes I did read all of it) I visually aligned the control surfaces to neutral. The following is the report from the flight log. 4-8-2012: Hogsmeade Aerodrome, Kingsvile,Mo. Easter morning, heart attack-in-a-box! Fundtion and CG check,OK, very light breeze. First launch (low rates)-Extreme climb, bad yaw, nearly unflyable. Second launch (low rates)-Used all of down trim, 5 clicks right rudder. Instant climb to loop, Tracked straight. Back to shop. Re-centered elevator trim and mechanically lowered elevator. Fresh battery, third launch. Now it flies! 1 click up. Flies well, very sensitive. Breeze started gusting making control (by me) iffy. Good landing. Another proud member of the Swallow Squadron. My experience is "intermediate" I have been flying for several years and have the FlyZone Albatross also. The T-28 Micro needs a better pilot than the Albatross. I suggest a slightly nose heavy CG to tame the sensitivity.
