Now in EPO foam with added scale detail and a 2.4GHz radio system |
39 in. wingspan, 31 in. long, 503 sq. in. wing area, 28 oz. flying weight. We improved and updated our already popular all molded foam Ready-To-Fly Waco biplane again. The airplane is now molded in tough EPO foam, the wings still have simulated scale rib spacing and corrugated ailerons, even the fuel tanks are represented on the top of the upper wing. The fuselage has been improved dramatically as well, the scale longerons are visible as well as other scale details and both cockpits have improved detail, 2 pilot figures are included. Comes complete with brushless OUTRUNNER motor and speed controller, 2.4GHz 4-channel radio, 3 servos, scale propeller with scale prop nut. The 3-cell Lithium Polymer battery's capacity is 1500mAh for long flight times and a LiPo Balance Charger is included (requires 12 volt battery or power supply). Airplane is pre-painted with decals pre-applied. Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver, 1.5mm Allen wrench and about an hour of time.
Install 8-AA batteries (not included) in the transmitter, charge your flight batteries and you are ready to fly. The OUTRUNNER brushless motor (900Kv) provides the power needed for aerobatic maneuvers like rolls, loops and inverted flight. Ailerons are on both the top and bottom wings for better roll control. Airplane has a gentle stall. Landings are slow and easy. Comes complete with all necessary small parts. See our PDF instruction manual in color online. Suitable as a first aileron airplane.

Great Biplane that gets lots of attention at the field but I agree it's not for beginners! Other than dealing with the tiny screws for the struts, it was a joy to assemble! I have two of these, both versions and they both fly equally well. The reason I say that it's not for beginners is that it does not 'self correct'! It is a stable flier with a good speed range froim slow flight scale passes to a little speedier performance at full tilt. Highly recommended for the Intermediate Pilot and will alway look good and behave well in the air. Be careful with the motor shaft, i bent mine after a arrival nose first so it seems the shaft is a little soft. Also, some don't like the langing gear w/ wheel pants, they do pop off with the gear covers as well. Some have used the landing gear from a competitors cub that fits right in and is more durable. Email me for details. The price has gone up so get yours before it either goes away or the price goes higher!

I have the earlier version of this model. After some initial problems with the radio and small issues with weak parts I have come to really like this airplane. It is a stable slow flyer and is a delight to fly. It is not for beginners. An intermediate flyer wiith aileron experience will have no problelms with this airplane. I have crashed mine numerous times and it always repairs easily with epoxy. It always flies nicely even after extensive repairs. I have upgraded mine with a Spektrum AR500 receiver and DX5E transmitter and have had no issues with electronics. This is a relaxing airplane to fly and looks great in the air. If you like rc biplanes you won't be disappointed with this one.

Great plane, great price BUT:
Tail wheel plastic mount broke off with non-abusive use
Top wing struts that join to upper fuselage tear out of foam on "rough" landings. Epoxy fix, but could use better mounting other than gued into foam.
Control clevis @ tail break easily. Needed to jerry-rig a fix.
Top-bottom wing struts joined with tiny screws. Screws strip the nylon strut threads very easily.
LOSE the barnboard-sized Hobby Lobby advertisement on the upper wing!
Otherwise a good plane at a great price.
